Hello again, Blog.
So tonight was the night of the TDF/CUNY gala, and it was not only special because I got to perform, but I also got to perform with some pretty awesome peeps including my best friend! We backed up Eden Espinosa on “Once Upon a Time” from Brooklyn, which was pretty epic and surreal…all the while being surrounded by seasoned, incredible performers like Billy Porter, Julie Halston, Priscilla Lopez, Jimmy Smits…. It was ridiculous. I don’t know how I got so lucky. Needless to say, I feel blessed and thankful. Everyone was so lovely and hilarious. I hope one day to be as cool as them. :-)
So! Here I am again.
I decided to stop making excuses and write in this darn blog! And what a great day to start writing — Thanksgiving!
First off… HAPPY THANKSGIVING!
I am so very thankful for…
…Having such an awesome family that supports and loves me in whatever I do.
…Having pretty friends that make me look cool (just kiddin’) But really, you all are so pretty inside and out and I’m blessed to have you in my life.
…My roommates! (Because they don’t count as my friends. haha jokes, I just wanted a separate thank you for you guys!!)
…Loving my representation… it’s really hard to find a good fit!
…The guitar I am learning, which I will one day be good at!
…Being fortunate enough to have a roof over my head and a meal on my table.
…The work I’ve gotten, and also the work I haven’t gotten. I love auditioning and getting to perform!
…My incredibly (and somewhat irritatingly) persistent personality.
…Learning to love myself in the last year and a half.
…Holidays! Making it okay to eat everything and go crazy for a day!
…My apartment. I’m finally stickin’ with this one!
…My room cuz it’s AWESOME. I will die in this apartment.
…Great music. Could you imagine life without it?!
…Great theater.
…Great talent. I am obsessed with talented people. I can’t help it.
…Great art! The world would have no heartbeat without it.
…Coffee…I wake up to you every morning and you never let me down! …Except for when I forget to have you.
…This tumblr. I s’pose.
…TO ALL THE PEOPLE WHO ACTUALLY READ THIS LIST/MY BLOG IN GENERAL! Go you!
I hope everyone is having a great Thanksgiving and filling their bellies to the brim with love. And maybe some food. :-)
Thus concludes my first (but really, second) blog entry. Hopefully I will continue to write more! And hopefully I will be slightly less sappy in the entries to come!
Love to all!!

| WOMAN: | You must come here every two weeks and report to me what you've done in terms of searching for a job. Here is your appt date and time. |
| ME: | Is there a number I can call if, say, I have an audition at that time and have to reschedule? |
| WOMAN: | Ma'am, if this is going to be a problem, I will have to report this as an issue and your unemployment benefits may be affected. |
| ME: | So... What you're saying is... If I have an audition -- which is equivalent to a job interview -- and I need to reschedule my "job search" meeting because of it, they will consider that a problem and discontinue my benefits? |
| WOMAN: | That is the policy. Yes. |
